    WHAT BOYLE SAID ABOUT MULLIN

Mullin fired Wrexham back into the EFL last season and has reached 20 for the current campaign, leaving him on 99 in total through 134 appearances. Will Boyle admits to being unaware that his club colleague was so close to becoming a centurion, saying of that impressive record: “It's not bad going that! I know he has scored a heck of a lot of goals but I wouldn't have put him on that. To get that in three years is some achievement so hopefully he doesn't go too long until he gets to a century.”

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Mullin could reach three figures in Wrexham’s clash with Doncaster on Tuesday. Boyle added on that contest, which will see the Red Dragons looking to maintain their recent improvement on the road: “We spoke about that, probably a month or so ago, that we needed to try and turn the away form around. We are right up there for home form in the table and the away table, I think we were down in seventh or eighth when we looked at it. I imagine we have climbed it now and we are putting in some professional and resolute performances. There's still a long way to go, we have still got to do that a good few more times now so hopefully we can start that on Tuesday. We had a good result last week on the road at Grimsby and hopefully we can follow-up the Mansfield win. We will be looking to go again, put in a good performance and see where it takes us.”

    WHAT NEXT FOR WREXHAM?

Wrexham have six games left to take in this season, as they look to wrap up back-to-back promotions. A top-three finish in League Two will get them over that line, with there still a chance that Phil Parkinson’s side can savour another title triumph.
