  • WHAT HAPPENED?

The England international scored 30 goals last season but this term he bagged just eight. The 26-year-old has been left out of the latest Three Lions squad ahead of Euro 2024 and he has been linked with a United exit this summer. Despite his struggles, team-mate Onana has backed Rashford to bounce back.

    WHAT ANDRE ONANA SAID

He told ESPN: "How many goals did he score last season? How many goals did he score this season? We are talking about the same player. He's a bad player? So last season he was good, this season he is bad? No. It is just a moment. You can have a bad season, you can have a bad start. But the most important thing is how you end, and Rashy, for me, is one of the best players in the world. But he is facing difficulty, like us, not only him and me, but the whole club. And he will come back, and I know my killer will score some important goals for us. Hopefully Saturday he will score two and we win the FA Cup."

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Rashford has been a shadow of his former self this season compared to last and United are reportedly willing to listen to offers for the Red Devils academy product. In the space of a year, he's gone from the main man at Old Trafford to one who could be surplus to requirements.
