Bayern Munich are currently the only unbeaten team in Bundesliga as they won their first four games on the trot. They faced off against the defending champions Bayer Leverkusen who stood as their biggest hurdle. The match ended in a 1-1 draw.

The difference in quality between last season and this season has been stark and very apparent, and that has helped Bayern take an early lead in the race for the Bundesliga title as they sit two points clear of RB Leipzig. Neuer has now explained how Kompany has helped the Bavarians find their feet once more.

WHAT NEUER SAID
Speaking to the media, Neuer said: "We have that confidence back again. No matter which team we're playing against, even against Leverkusen. We're sticking to our style, we've been dominant. That's something different than before.
"The security that Kompany gives each individual is noticeable on the pitch, the connection we have. We play as a team!"
WHAT NEXT FOR BAYERN MUNICH?
Kompany will now have to work on the Bavarian side to prepare them for their Champions League clash against Premier League side Aston Villa on Wednesday, October 2.
