Man Utd's travel nightmare! Red Devils' plane journey from London cancelled as squad arrive home by bus from Fulham in early hours of Monday morning

United players had to return from London in two separate buses after their flight back to Manchester was cancelled due to an issue with the airline, according to the Manchester Evening News. The journey by road took approximately three-and-a-hours, with players returning home at 1:30am on Monday morning. Furthermore, the Daily Mail add that the two buses dropped the players and the coaching staff at the parking of Manchester Airport as most of the squad members had parked their cars there before heading to London.

The Red Devils finally got back to winning ways in the Premier League on Sunday as they picked up a hard-fought 1-0 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage, with Lisandro Martinez scoring a the late goal. The win helped the team to climb up to the 12th position in the table.

During the 2023-24 campaign, United had to take a similar road trip back to Manchester, coming back after a clash against Newcastle at St James' Park. Their flight was cancelled on that occasion due to adverse weather conditions.

After back-to-back wins against Rangers and Fulham, Amorim's side will next take on FCSB in their last league stage match of the Europa League.
