Getafe loan has rebuilt career
WHAT HAPPENED?
A report from German outlet fussball.newssuggests that Greenwood still does not have a future back at Manchester United once his loan at Getafe finishes this coming summer. But, given his impact in Spain, there is still potential to pocket a fee to the tune of €40 million (£34m/$43m) from selling the 22-year-old amid interest from Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Manchester United decided last August following an internal investigation that Greenwood would leave the club, but stopped short of releasing him from a contract that runs until 2025. He has been a regular starter in La Liga, rotating between roles on Getafe's left and right flanks, contributing seven goals and five assists across 24 total appearances in all competitions.
DID YOU KNOW?
Despite making his senior debut for England way back in 2020 during an ill-fated trip to Iceland from which he was prematurely sent home for breaking Covid-19 protocols, Greenwood still remains eligible to switch international allegiance to Jamaica. He hasn't played for England since and would have had to appeared in more than three competitive games before turning 21 to be considered locked in under FIFA's eligibility rules.
