Arsenal & England stars Leah Williamson and Alessia Russo link up with Inter Miami owner David Beckham at NBA Paris event where Donovan Mitchell leads Cleveland Cavaliers to victory over Brooklyn Nets

Lionesses Williamson and Russo were amongst a host of footballers who attended the showpiece meeting between the Brooklyn Nets and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday. The duo posed for a photo with Inter Miami owner Beckham, which the former England captain shared on his Instagram story.

This isn't the first time Beckham has linked up with England striker Russo. Ahead of the Women's World Cup last summer, the pair sat down for a chat at an Adidas event. During their conversation, Beckham thanked Russo for inspiring younger generations. He said: "For you to inspire a new generation of footballers - boys, girls, and my daughter, I want to say thank you for that."

Football stars past and present including Kylian Mbappe, Ronaldo Nazario and Gianluigi Donnarumma watched the Cavaliers beat the Nets 111-102. Donovan Mitchell inspired the Cavaliers by registering a season-high 45 points.

The Arsenal duo were making the most of the final days of their winter break. Russo will return to action when Arsenal take on Watford in the FA Cup on Sunday, but Williamson is still recovering from the ACL injury she suffered in April.
