Kylian Mbappe makes vow to PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi over potential Real Madrid or Liverpool transfer

Mbappe can leave PSG in a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of the season and he has been linked to Real Madrid and Liverpool. Mbappe has pledged that Al-Khelaifi will be the first person he informs after deciding where his future lies, 90min reports.

It was recently reported that Mbappe has already agreed to join Madrid this summer, though the France star's camp released a statement denying that he had decided on his next step. Liverpool are seen as Madrid's main rivals for his signature, while PSG still hope to convince him to stay.

The 25-year-old upset Madrid in the summer of 2022 when he rejected their advances and made a last-minute U-turn to sign a new contract in Paris. His future became uncertain again last summer when he informed the French club that he would not trigger the option to extend his stay by a further year, opening up the possibility of him leaving for free and resulting in him being temporarily dropped from the squad.

The ex-Monaco starlet is free to open talks with other clubs about a possible summer transfer, though he could also decide to sign a new deal with PSG. Mbappe, who has scored 25 goals in 25 games this season, will likely be in action when his side face Lens in Ligue 1 on Sunday.
