De Bruyne officially announced that he will leave Manchester City at the end of the 2024-25 campaign as a free agent after his contract expires. The Belgian midfielder returned to England - having previously endured a tough time at Chelsea - in the summer of 2015 and signed for the Cityzens from Wolfsburg. In the next 10 years, the player won every major trophy at Etihad Stadium, including six league titles and a Champions League trophy. He was also an integral part of the 2022-23 treble-winning City team.
