    WHAT HAPPENED?

    The 24-year-old made his most significant contribution as a Gunner to date when he arrived from the bench to dramatic effect. After Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka worked a crossing opportunity from the right, Havertz timed his run to perfection, losing his marker to head Arsenal to the top of the Premier League for the first time this season.

    On Saturday evening, Havertz took to Instagram to post a message of thanks to Arsenal fans who have backed the summer arrival despite his on-field struggles this term. "BIG win on the road!! Thank you for all the support. Another big game to prepare for now."

    Havertz has undoubtedly struggled for form since his £65m ($81.9m) arrival from Chelsea. But refreshingly, Arsenal fans have stood by him, heading Mikel Arteta's pleas to support the forward.
