Asked by presenter Kate Abdo if he was sober enough to conduct the interview, Carragher replied: "That's actually a good point because I haven't had too much to eat. I had a cheeseburger at about half two, when I got to the hotel. It might explain why I might be slurring my words! I've had about eight pints in the Yellow Wall, I've got a new family, a new family of friends, we all look after each other. I gave them a few bob after half-time!"
Carragher then beckoned Sancho over to be interviewed by himself and fellow pundit Peter Schmeichel, prompting howls of laughter from Thierry Henry in the studio.
Carragher said: "I've just been in the Yellow Wall, my first experience of it, you know it very well. You've been there before. That was one of the best experiences of my life, amazing!"
Carragher even ended the interview by asking Sancho to have a few beers with him if Dortmund lifted the trophy, to which the winger revealed, in deadpan fashion: "I don't drink."
