A win against the Angolan side will guarantee K'Ogalo a place in the quarter-finals of the competition for the first time in the club's history

Gor Mahia is a match away from writing another history.

The Kenyan champions will face off with Petro Atletico of Angola in the final Group D match of the Caf Confederation Cup, needing only a win to advance to the last eight of the competition.

Zamalek is top of the group with eight points, Petro and NA Hussein Dey are on seven with Gor Mahia lying bottom of the table on six.

Goal parades the key players that K’Ogalo will bank on in the match.

  1. Goal Kenya.

    Peter Odhiambo

The custodian has suffered two defeats in the last two Caf matches and conceded five goals. But he cannot be faulted, he was excellent in the two games; and without him, in goal, it could have been worse. Now he has a point to prove when it matters most.

  2. Goal Kenya.

    Harun Shakava

The defense looked a little bit disorganized away to Zamalek SC in Egypt and ended up conceding four goals. It has to be different this time around and that is where Shakava will come in. He has to bring the experience in play and rectify the mistakes against the Angolan side.

  3. Goal Kenya.

    Shafik Batambuze

He is expected to be fresh after sitting out of the game against Egyptian giants Zamalek owing to suspension, and the Ugandan left-back will want to leave a mark. He will be relied on at the back and attack as well.

  4. Goal Kenya.

    Francis Kahata

The former Thika United midfielder will be relied on to create scoring chances for the home team. He has done it before and can do it again. He will be required to have a perfect link with other players to be effective.

  5. Goal Kenya.

    Jacques Tuyisenge

The Rwandan striker has to rise up for the occasion; because the Kenyan side will need goals to silence their visitors. He has to use his pace well, keep the defenders on toes; and take the chances when they come his way.
