Williams has long been a star for club and country, but now, she will forever be recognized as one of the best goalscorers women's soccer has ever seen.
The 30-year-old U.S. international was drafted into the league in 2015 by the Western New York Flash - who eventually became the North Carolina Courage. She followed the club to the southeast coast of the U.S. where she bagged 45 goals in a four-year span.
Williams was traded to the KC Current in 2022, but only made one appearance due to injury. She then joined Gotham in 2023 via trade and has since made history, helping them to their first-ever NWSL title last season while smashing the scoring record in 2024.
Williams herself has claimed four NWSL titles, three NWSL shields, a league MVP award and one Golden Boot award. She has 63 international caps with the USWNT, as well.
