  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Manchester City and Crystal Palace are set to line up against one another in the FA Cup final on May 17 but reports suggest the start time of 3pm or 5.30pm is still up in the air. Now, supporters have hit out at the FA for this "crazy" delay.

    WHAT'S BEEN SAID

Kevin Parker, general secretary of City’s official supporters’ club, said, via the Daily Mail: "It is ridiculously poor planning, that is what frustrates me. Crazy. The FA Cup final has been in the calendar since last summer. Everybody knows when it is, but it seems everybody else comes before the impact it will have on supporters. Every year we seem to have another battle with games at Wembley. It’s exhausting."

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

A later kick-off is not ideal for City fans as the last train back to Manchester Piccadilly is reportedly at 9.01pm. That may mean lots of City supporters are left stranded in London - potentially forcing some to have to fork out to stay overnight - something that is not an issue for Croydon-based Palace.
