Ed Sheeran filmed singing 'Hey Jude' before going crazy celebrating goal that rescued draw for Ipswich in Championship derby clash with Norwich

Sheeran, a lifelong Tractor Boy fan, was filmed singing 'Hey Jude' before the game before grabbing and hugging fellow Ipswich fans after their star player, Wes Burns, equalised against rivals Norwich. The musician sponsors the club's kits and his love for the club was shown even more openly as he went wild in celebration at Portman Road.

Ipswich go level with Leicester at the top of the Championship with 52 points - although, the Foxes have a game in hand. They go 11 points clear of third-placed Leeds United in the hope of securing back-to-back promotions and the opportunity of playing Premier League football next season. Led by Kieran McKenna, Ipswich have dazzled with their brilliant, attacking football this season to find themselves as shock promotion candidates.

Having not been able to find a winner against Norwich today, Ipswich's winless run against their rivals extends to 13 games. Not that Sheeran and Ipswich fans are likely to care, given they are seven places and 21 points clear of the Canaries.

The Tractor Boys travel to Leeds next weekend in one of the biggest games of the Championship season. Should Leeds defeat Coventry today, and beat Ipswich next week, the gap between second and third will be narrowed to just five points.
