Cristiano Ronaldo's sister responds to fan asking her to stop Al-Nassr superstar from marrying Georgina Rodriguez

After several years of speculation regarding the status of Ronaldo’s relationship, it was revealed on August 12, 2025 that the Portuguese icon has finally popped the question to his long-term partner and put a ring on it.

Rodriguez was quick to show off her dazzling engagement band on social media, which is said to come with a seven-figure price tag, with plans now being drawn for a lavish walk down the aisle.

Fans around the world have been quick to pass their congratulations on to the happy couple, who have been together for nine years - having first met during CR7’s record-shattering spell as a ‘Galactico’ at Real Madrid.

Not everybody is happy with the news, though, and one follower posted during a Instagram Q&A session being hosted by Katia Aveiro: “Please tell Cris not to get married.” Ronaldo’s sister replied with: “Oh, woman, let the boy do what makes him happy. Jeez, people... You have to think about your life and not that of others. This disease is serious, be careful.”

While Ronaldo remains content off the field, he has been enduring more frustration on it. Goals have continued to flow for the 40-year-old Al-Nassr striker, but major silverware remains elusive in the Middle East after suffering defeat to Al-Ahli in the Saudi Super Cup final.
