Ronaldo uploaded a story to Instagram with a montage of training pictures, confirming that he is back with the squad after missing their 5-2 win over Sweden. Roberto Martinez allowed the Al-Nassr star some extra time off to recuperate from his exertions in the Saudi Pro League. He embarked on a vacation to Saudi Arabia as a result.

In Ronaldo's absence, Bruma became the first player to wear the No.7 shirt for Portugal instead of the Nassr star since 2007, and he scored in the thumping win over Sweden. It remains to be seen if Bruma will get on against Slovenia now that Ronaldo has returned.
