    WHAT HAPPENED?

Ronaldo made the surprising move to Saudi Arabia in the summer of 2023 after parting ways with Manchester United following an ugly showdown with then manager Erik ten Hag. The Portuguese legend signed with then-defending league champions Al-Nassr to spearhead the Middle Eastern country's plans to bring big names into the Saudi Pro League.

Ronaldo is currently enjoying life in the Saudi Pro League. However, according to Marca, an exit for the five-time Ballon d'Or winner "can't be ruled out" as he is said to be open to "embracing a new project" and does not want to retire anytime soon.

    DID YOU KNOW?

Ronaldo signed a two-and-a-half year contract with Al-Nassr when he joined the Saudi Pro League side. That contract is now set to run out at the end of the current season, and as he is set to enter the last six months of his contract at Al-Awwal Park, Ronaldo will be free to open talks with other clubs.

  • WHAT NEXT FOR RONALDO?

Since joining Al-Nassr, Ronaldo has failed to lead his side to the Saudi Pro League title or any other trophy, and the five-time Ballon d'Or winner is said to be eager to land some form of silverware before departing Saudi Arabia.
