'Best caption wins' - Cristiano Ronaldo pictured in hysterics while sat next to UFC star Conor McGregor at Saudi boxing event featuring Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua

The Portuguese superstar was among those in attendance at the latest boxing event put on in Saudi Arabia. Heavyweight sluggers Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder were on that bill, with Ronaldo taking up a seat at ringside as he makes the most of a feast of sport that continues to be offered up in the Middle East.

Ronaldo is now plying his trade at Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, with the 38-year-old showing no sign of slowing down as he – the all-time leading scorer in men’s international football – has registered 50 goals for club and country over the course of 2023.

Ronaldo does not need to take advice from anyone when it comes to reaching the very top of his chosen profession, but he did get to spend an evening in the company of MMA legend McGregor on Saturday – with the pair seemingly getting along famously as CR7 shared a picture of the duo enjoying a joke.

Al-Nassr will be back in action on Tuesday when taking in a trip to Al-Ittihad, with that contest set to see Ronaldo reunited with his former Real Madrid team-mate and fellow Ballon d’Or winner, Karim Benzema.
