Aston Villa's new home kit for the 2026-27 season honours the club’s more unconventional claret and blue designs, which originated in the 1960s. Inspired by the kits from the archive from the 1960s to 2010s, the new design offers a clean and elegant look, creating a departure from the raglan-sleeved home kits that Villa have donned in the modern era, usually finished with gold detailing.
The launch of the kit is accompanied by a short film that is inspired by the kit design, based on an iconic 60s Pathe style documentary format, instantly recognisable by its traditional voiceover, fast-paced structure and styling. The film captures the positive energy around the club, focusing on the players getting ready ahead of the next season at the training ground, featuring first team players, manager Unai Emery and club legends, even appropriately nodding to past European glory.
The kit will be available to buy from Thursday, 28th May, with a starting price of the adult replica shirt from around £80 and the authentic player version from £110 upwards.
