Another honour for Aitana Bonmati! Barcelona & Spain star named Nations League MVP after helping La Roja to victory over France in final

The Barcelona star once again stole the show in the Nations League final against France with her immaculate passing and clinical finishing. She put La Roja in front after latching onto Olga Carmona's brilliant cross from the left - and after that, there was no looking behind with Mariona Caldentey doubling the lead to put the game to bed. She was instrumental in Spain's domination against Les Bleus and there was no surprise after she was chosen as the MVP of the match.

Bonmati had an incredible 2023 where she won the FIFA World Cup with Spain and also secured a treble with Barcelona hence she was bestowed with the Ballon d'Or and The Best FIFA Women's Player award for the same year. In fact, she also won the Golden Ball after being named player of the tournament for her heroics in the Women's World Cup.

Bonmati was sensational against the Netherlands in the Nations League last four encounter and found the net in Spain's 3-0 triumph over the Dutch. She has been involved in 10 goals in her last 15 appearances between the World Cup 2023 (three goals and two assists) and the Nations League 2023/24 (four goals and one assist), which is the most by a player in her side. Following a successful international window, Bonmati will shift her focus back to club football. She will be back in action with Barcelona on March 7 in the first leg of the Copa de la Reina semi-final against Athletic Club away from home.
