<p>Reports suggest League Two <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/rihanna-league-two-football-rapper-asap-rocky-tranmere-takeover-welcome-to-wrexham-documentary/bltc81a2b1467beb64c" target="_blank">Tranmere are the subject of a £15 million ($20m) majority takeover bid</a> from a United States-based group led by celebrity lawyer Joe Tacopina and including rapper A$AP Rocky, who is said to be dating singer Rihanna. Now, according to <a href="https://csdb.gg/" target="_blank">CSDB.gg’s</a> League Two SuperComputer, the Merseyside outfit's chances of getting out of the division have shot up an incredible 909 per cent. This predicts 16th-placed Rovers have a 1.6% chance of winning the league but a 10.5% likelihood of getting into the play-offs - a 238.8% improvement in their chances.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Since Wrexham were taken over by Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in early 2021, the Red Dragons have gone from the <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/wrexham-story-ryan-reynolds-owned-national-league-title/bltc41969ec8e37de0e" target="_blank">National League</a> to <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/wrexham-promotion-league-one-ryan-reynolds-rob-mcelhenney-forest-green-rovers-mk-dons-barrow/bltc8ffdccfc813e664" target="_blank">League One</a> in a few short seasons. It is too soon to say if Tranmere could enjoy a similar fate but this kind of investment could fire them back up the English football pyramid. </p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>The SuperComputer also predicts if they make the play-offs this season, they have a 11% chance of going all the way and win promotion to League One. If this takeover takes place, Rovers will become the 31st club in England's top four leagues to be owned by American investors.</p>
