Peter Taylor, the coach of the Kerala Blasters, is resoundingly pleased with his team's preparations ahead of the second edition of the Indian Super League (ISL). The former Leicester and Hull City coach took over the team's managerial position from the joint stewardship of David James and Trevor Morgan, who led the team in the inaugural edition of the ISL.
Speaking to the club's official media department, in a video which has since been posted to the Blasters' official Facebook page, the 62-year-old Englishman revealed his club have played a large number of friendlies and will extend their preparations into next week, when they will play a few more matches that have been lined-up.
Taylor also revealed they had been at full hands on deck, in pre-season, for the last two weeks.
The southern team recently revealed their squad, with Carlos Marchena as their marquee signing.
The Sachin Tendulkar co-owned franchise begin their campaign at home to NorthEast United at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium in Cochin on 6th October, as they seek to go one step further than last season wherein they finished runners-up to champions Atletico de Kolkata, in a pulsating final, at the D.Y. Patil stadium in Mumbai.
Peter Taylor reveals his thoughts on the Blasters' pre-season in the video below.
