NorthEast United rope in Kamara and Bruno

John Abraham's side have strengthened their strikeforce with the addition of former Celtic centre-forward...

NorthEast United had scored the least number of goals (11) in the inaugural edition of the Indian Super League (ISL). In order to avoid suffering the same predicament, they have signed Diomansy Kamara.

The 34-year-old plied his trade for clubs such as Portsmouth, West Brom, Fulham and Celtic amongst others. He also played in the Serie A for Modena early in his career.  Kamara last played for Catanzaro where he made 13 appearances and scored four goals in the Serie C 1 where his team finished eighth.

Interestingly, Kamara hoped to end his playing career with Catanzaro as he stated following his move to the Italian side, "I want to end my career here and it fills me with pride to know that the Giallorosso shirt will be the last one I wear as a professional. It really is a dream for me to return to finish my career here where it all began."

The north east franchise of the ISL have also roped in Bruno Herrero who turned up for Delhi Dynamos last season where he scored a goal in 10 appearances. The former Sevilla medio will shoulder the responsibility of initiating attacks for the likes of Simao Sabrosa and Kamara to feed on.
