Khabra anticipates a 'tough' clash against Atletico de Kolkata

Harmanjot Khabra was ecstatic as his side Chennaiyin FC thumped Mumbai City FC 5-1 on Tuesday evening to register their second home win of the Indian Super League (ISL) campaign.

"It (the win) feels great after the 4-1 loss to Delhi [Dynamos]. [We are] especially thankful to our coach Marco [Materazzi] who has given us a lot of confidence. But on the whole the credit goes to the team. As a unit we did extremely well," said the midfielder.

Khabra provided an assist for John Stiven Mendoza's second goal in the match and stated that playing alongside players like Elano is a motivating.

"It feels great. All the more when you are playing alongside great players, it makes us more confident on the field and motivates us for the coming matches. I just hope to keep giving my best.

"I was telling one of my colleagues as to how we are watching and playing alongside a world class player. It is a great honour to watch him (Elano) play with us. We feel extremely lucky."

Chennaiyin's next test will be against Atletico de Kolkata where Khabra will come against several of his East Bengal team-mates on November 4th, 2014.

“It will be difficult, especially as I play for East Bengal in the I-League. I will be coming up against many of my fellow team-mates. I think it will be a tough match and I'm looking forward to prepare for that," the East Bengal player concluded.
