Nepal's premier sporting stadium is located in the heart of the nation's capital in Tripureshwor in Kathmandu.

Major Events

A multipurpose stadium, the Dasarath Rangasala Stadium is primarily used for football matches, but is also used for hosting a myriad other events such as rock concerts and fairs and is used as an entertainment complex.

It was also used for hosting thr 1999 South Asian Games. Every year it also holds the Martyr's Memorial League in Nepal.

  • The stadium although holds a reported 25,000 spectators, only 5,000 can be seated. 
  • It does have floodlights installed so as to hold proper night matches.
  • Interestingly, the stadium was renovated with the help of China to prepare it before the 8th South Asian Games.
  • The ANFA has newly installed a 500 KW generator as well as refurbished floodlights, keeping in mind power outages in the valley.
  • The pitch too has been newly laden keeping in mind the global tournament.
