Ahead of Arsenal fourth round Carling Cup clash against Liverpool on Wednesday evening, Arsene Wenger has praised the talents of likely starter Sanchez Watt, 18; a fleet-footed, versatile forward who is as comfortable on the flanks as he is in the centre.
The teenager cemented his senior debut against West Bromwich Albion in the third round of the same competition, scoring a goal to add to the pair he has struck in the reserves this season.
Watt (pictured, far right) has been a fundamental part of Arsenal's successful FA Youth Cup side, and Wenger feels he is now pushing for a senior role.
"I like Sanchez Watt because he is a little bit of a street player," beamed Wenger to the club's official website.
"He makes fantastic runs, he is an aggressive striker or maybe the word is a committed striker - and he always finds resources to be dangerous and he works hard for the team.
"That's why I always include him with the group," said the Frenchman.
"He's very close to the first team and I believe he will really be a threat for the strikers."
