After losing two back to back games at home, JCT restored some pride by holding current I-League holders Dempo SC to a goalless draw.
Held To A Draw
Both teams fielded some fringe players in the starting eleven however neither side could create clear cut opportunities in the first period. The second half saw a little more goalmouth action but the game was mostly contested in the midfield.
Dempo coach Armando Colaco sets very high standards for his team so he will be slightly disappointed to not maintain their perfect record. On the other hand JCT coach Parminder Singh will be glad that his team registered at least a point in this tournament.

ONGC and AIFF XI had the chance to finish second in the group by winning this match and thus the game was a very open one.
Learning Experience For AIFF XIFormer Air India player Kailash Patil opened the scoring for ONGC in the 21st minute. A minute after the restart, Patil scored his and side's second to put ONGC in a very comfortable position.
AIFF XI however did not give up the fight as former Pune FC striker Jeje Lalpekhlua reduced the deficit in the 57th minute. Desmond Bulpin’s side made a real game of it in the remainder of the second period but ONGC held on to their lead and bagged three point.s
ONGC finish runners-up in the group with two wins in three matches. AIFF XI might have stood third but they showed a lot of potential and the tournament certainly was a great learning experience for them.
