Emile Rustom Takes Charge Of Lebanon

The coach of Lebanese football powerhouse Al Nejmeh Emile Rustom has been appointed as the national coach of Lebanon.

Lebanon was without a coach since Adnan Al Sharqi stepped down in June after failing to lead the side through to the fourth round of the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

“We hope that in the coming months we will be able to show how improved Lebanese football is,”Rustom was quoted as saying by AFC run website. Rustom's last stint was ended in 2002 as the national coach. AFC Asian Cup 2011 qualification would be a major and first challenge to Rustom.

Lebanon are grouped with China, Syria and Vietnam.
