I-League update: East Bengal sign Sanju Pradhan

The Sikkim midfielder will be returning to his old stomping ground.

Kolkata giants East Bengal bolstered their squad for the I-League as they roped in former club captain Sanju Pradhan on a loan deal from NorthEast United.

Sanju, who was a key member of the Red and Golds squad during the Trevor Morgan era, had also captained the side in the 2012-13 campaign. He played for Salgaocar in the last edition of India's premier club competition and had a few impressive cameos for the John Abraham co-owned franchise in the Indian Super League (ISL).

East Bengal continued their preparations on Thursday also as the club defeated CESC 4-0 with Prohlad Roy, Ranti Martins (2) and Do Dong Hyun scoring the goals.
