FC Pune City have signed center-back Gouramangi Singh for the second season of the Indian Super League (ISL).
The 29-year old is a product of the TATA Football Academy (TFA) and made a name for himself when he captained the India U-18 team to victory in the Ian Rush trophy held in Ireland in 2003.
He went on to make his debut for the senior team in 2006 and has since earned 71 caps for the Indian football team. His impressive record with the national team include two SAFF cup in 2005 and 2011 and three Nehru Cups that the Blue Tigers lifted in 2007, 2009 and 2012.
Singh had played for the Marco Materazzi trained Chennaiyin FC in the ISL last season, and went on to make 11 appearances for the 2014 semi-finalists. He was signed by debutants Bharat FC at the start of the 2015 season of the I-League in January.
Meanwhile, the Orange Army have also confirmed the retention of five players from their 2014 ISL squad after signing contract extensions with Dharmaraj Ravanan, Manish Maithani, Lenny Rodrigues, Israil Gurung and Arindam Bhattarcharya.
