Anthony D'Souza injured in national camp, ruled out for the season

The Indian national team as well as Pune FC of the I-League were dealt a huge blow as winger Anthony D'Souza was injured during the camp conducted for the Blue Tigers' preparation ahead of the important 2018 World Cup qualifier first-leg against Nepal at home on March 12.

According to sources close to Goal, Anthony suffered a serious injury to his left ankle in training, leaving him out of Stephen Constantine's plans for the upcoming qualifiers, the away leg of which will be played at Kathmandu on March 17.

This also comes as bad news for Anthony's I-League side Pune FC, with the man from Goa set to spend the rest of the season on the sidelines on the treatment and recovery table.
