Salgaocar had already completed their rosters for foreign players when they signed Sean Rooney earlier this week with Quinton Jacobs, Luciano Sobrosa and Jagaba Hamza being the other signings.
However, with this signing of Guirado, Hamza has been released by the former I-League champions and the Nigerian striker is expected to sign for Vasco Sports Club.
“Initially we were looking for an Asian player and we got two on trials. Both looked impressive while Hamza did okay. So we sat with Hamza and explained to him the situation. We parted amicably and it was a win-win situation,” explained Salgaocar head coach Karim Bencherifa.
“Angel is a tall player with good physical presence and competent skills; he will give me lot of options as a striker,” the Moroccan tactician added.
