East Bengal have signed Australian defender Milan Susak to complete their foreign signings for the season.

“The deal is almost confirmed. Milan should reach Kolkata by mid-November. The tickets have been sent to him,” Alvito D’Cunha, a squad member, who was also supervising the deal told Goal.

Susak, a 30-year old defender will join Ranti Martins, Dudu Omagbemi and Leo Bertos  to complete the Red and Golds’ foreign contingent.

He will be the second member of Brisbane Roar’s 2010-11 A-League winning squad to play for an I-League side, after James Meyer’s stint in Pune FC last year.

The defender last played for UAE side Al Wasl but managed only 8 first team appearances. He also had stints in SpVgg Unterhaching, a third tier side of Germany and Tianjin Teda FC, a Chinese outfit. He has also participated in the AFC Champions League for Iran's Foolad Sepahan.

East Bengal released their long-serving foreign defender Uga Okpara last season and were linked with a move for Bilal Najjarine. They were also reportedly interested in the services of former Shillong Lajong defender Michol Son.

East Bengal have resumed their training again on Monday under the tutelage of coach Armando Colaco after a long break following the Calcutta League triumph.
