Santosh Kashyap is set to be confirmed as Royal Wahingdoh's coach, Goal can confirm.
The former India international was at the helm of another north east club, Rangdajied United last year before being handed the pink slip midway into the season. Kashyap will once again be handed reins of a newly promoted side from Shillong.
Kashyap also had stints at Mohun Bagan, but his time with Air India and ONGC bought him plaudits.
When contacted, Kashyap remained unavailable for comment.
Royal Wahingdoh earned their maiden I-League berth earlier this year by edging past Bhawanipore in the final game of the second division I-League.
The team is yet to start its pre-season and will have to strengthen before the Federation Cup and the I-League kicks-off after the Indian Super League (ISL).
