Bengaluru FC, the reigning I-League champions have added to their squad by signing three players on a year long deal, well before the season is underway. This is after landing their marquee signing in the form of former England U-20 skipper, Joshua Walker last week.
The players include Eugeneson Lyngdoh. the 27 year old former skipper of I-League newcomers, Rangdajied United and also Lalchhuanmawia from Shillong Lajong and Udanta Kumam, a product of the famed Tata Football Academy.
Lyngdoh was very pleased to be signing with the champions.
“I played here last season and the atmosphere was special. I’ve also heard from many quarters about how BFC are going about doing things to change the way club football functions in the country and I wanted to be part of it.”
Meanwhile his former team-mate at Shillong Lajong, Lalchhuanmawia too was ecstatic after signing a year long deal.
“It’s a great feeling to be part of a champion team. I was up against Bengaluru FC last season and the football they played was very attractive. There is the challenge of defending the title this season though, and I am happy to be part of it."
Meanwhile striker, Udanta Kumam was instrumental in Tata Football Academy's I-League U-19 triumph last season.
