Odafa Okolie has returned to Goan shores as he has signed a deal with his former side, Churchill Brothers for the next three seasons.
The Nigerian who scored 53 goals for Mohun Bagan in 59 matches in the I-League and Federation Cup in the last three years, will hope to inspire Churchill back to winning ways.
In his earlier stint which began in 2005-06 season, he has scored 104 goals in 100 matches for the club. He was also the skipper of the Churchill side which won the I-League in 2008-09 season and played a crucial role in them winning the IFA Shield and the Durand Cup as well.
The 28-year old has been the top scorer in the I-League for three seasons, namely 2007-08, 2008-09 and 2010-11.
"I am very happy to welcome him back to the Churchill Brothers family,” said club president Churchill Alemao.
"Churchill Brothers is like an extended family to me, I am really glad to return home. I will give my best and hope to win many trophies here again,” said an elated Okolie.
“It’s great to have him back. I am sure Odafa will work hard and help the team achieve its goals for the 2014-15 season,” said club CEO Valanka Alemao.
