Churchill Brothers rope in two foreign players

Syria’s Yasser Shahen has been added on the roster by Churchill Brothers as they look to strengthen their squad after relieving almost all their foreign players following a poor start to their campaign.

Shahen, a striker, has represented Syria on three occasions and last plied his trade at Bahrain’s Al Hidd.

Egyptian midfielder Abdel Hamid Shabana is expected to put pen to paper on Wednesday. The 25-year old plays for African champions Al Ahly but had been loaned out to Egyptian club Telephonat Beni Sweif SC for the last two seasons.

"Yasser is expected to travel with the squad to Kolkata for the game against Mohammedan. Abdel will travel a day or two later to join the team. However whether they play or not depends on when their international transfer certificate comes," informed a source close to Goal.

Meanwhile Churchill have already released Henri Antchouet, Ahmed Al Kadoour and Hameed Adisope while the negotiations for termination of contract with Hugo Machado is on.
