Sporting Clube De Goa have qualified for the I-League next season and are busy making key reinforcements so that their side can compete in the top division. The Flaming Oranje have already secured the signatures of Vasco duo - Prajyot Naik and Milagrio Medeira.
"My contract with Vasco was over and that was when I got an offer from Sporting Clube de Goa. Considering that I could play in the I-League with Sporting, it was something I couldn't resist," said Prajyot.
The now former Vasco captain stated that most of the players at the 'Flaming Oranje' are the ones he is familiar with.
"I have already played with most of the players before and I'll also meet the Vasco players who have been signed by them (Sporting) in the previous season," Naik pointed.
The Panjim based side have extended the contracts of Fulganco Cardozo, Angelo D'Souza, Agnel Colaco and Elvino Fernandes for the season 2011-2012.
Milagrio echoed his team-mate's opinion and said, "Sporting offered me and what could be better than playing in the I-League."
Sporting Clube de Goa's first choice goalkeeper Felix D'Souza, who has been with the club since it's inception, is learned to have run out of his contract and has not penned a new deal with the club as yet.
On being asked about becoming the number one goalkeeper with Gerard D'Mello still in the picture, Milagrio responded saying, "I will try my best to be in the first team."
