Nepal Selects Squad For PM Cup

Nepal FA has selected the two national squads for the Prime Minister Cup starting 5th March in Kathmandu.

Nepal Red and Blue team are vying in the competition in which national team from Sri Lanka and Pakistan along with a club team from Thailand and Bangladesh are participating in the tournament.

In Nepal Red, regular national skipper Rakesh Shrestha will lead the team. Bikash Malla, Ritesh Thapa and Samit Rajbhandari are the goal keepers. Anjan K.C, Sagar Thapa, Rakesh Shrestha, Biraj Maharjan, Santosh Gurung, Chun Bahadur Thapa and Suman Subedi are selected as defenders. Raju Tamang, Sandip Rai, Nabin Neupane, Khum Gurung, Ranjit Shrestha, Vishan Gauchan and Bijaya Gurung will take charge of midfield area. Jumanu Rai, Anil Gurung and Nirajan Rayamajhi are the front liners. Yogamber suwal is the head coach of the team while Upendra Man Singh and Kishor K.C are the assistant coaches.

In Nepal Blue, Veteran Basanta Gauchan will lead the team. Kiran Limbu, Rupak Shrestha and Dinesh Thapa are selected as goal keepers. Rabin Shrestha, Rohit Chand, Nur Raj Kafle, Dipak Bhushal, Sabindra Shrestha, Sanjiv Budhathoki and Bikash Singh Chhetri are the defenders. Anil Ojha, Dipendra Shrestha, Bhola Wilwal, Santosh Nepali and Chetan Ghimire are the midfielders while Yougal Kishor Rai, Santosh Shaukala, Nirajan Malla and Dipak Rai are the front liners.

Baiju Kapali is the head coach of the team while Bal Gopal Maharjan and Mrigendra Mishra are the assistant coaches.
