East Bengal continue to be in line to finish runners-up in the I-League 2012-13, following their 6-0 drubbing of United Sikkim FC in a rescheduled round 23 match in Kolkata, on Wednesday.

Trevor Morgan's side who are now on 47 points and occupy the third spot, need another win and will hope for Pune FC (49) to drop points in their ultimate match in the coming weekend.

United Sikkim meanwhile have collected only 15 points from their 25 matches and have become the second team in the running campaign to concede as many as 60 goals.

Penn Ikechukwu Orji started the mauling in the eigth minute before Mehtab Hussain (21') and Lalrindika Ralte (35') also got their names on the scorecard in the first half.

The second half read as many more goals for the home side as Cavin Lobo began with a 80th minute strike, which was followed by Australian striker Andrew Barisic converting from the penalty spot in the 88th minute and Edeh Chidi winding things up a minute later.
