We're determined to secure continental ticket, insists Kano Pillars' Aloma

Idris Aloma insists Kano Pillars' intention is to secure a continental ticket at the end of the season.

Ibrahim Musa's men returned to winning ways after Sunday's 2-0 win over Remo Stars at the Sani Abacha Stadium, thanks to strikes from Nyima Nwagua and Sikiru Kamal.

"We needed to win [Remo Stars] in order to keep our ambitions alive," Idris told Goal.

"After we lost in Katsina, we have told ourselves that we win all our home games and get some points away so that we can fight for one of the continental positions.

"We also promised that no team will come to Kano without being beaten. Well, no team is too small because Remo Stars came with full force and very strong but we got our goals and won the match.

"Now, that our fans are back to the stadium after missing out on watching us for some matches, we have pledged to make them proud and happy with good results.

"We are in good shape and everything is working out for us. We are focused on returning to where we belong in the league table.

"We have seven matches to go and we are determined to get a continental ticket at the end of the season."
