Wa All Stars were stunned 4-1 at home by Wafa in matchday three outstanding game at Malik Jabir Park on Sunday.
Two goals from Richard Danso and another from Daniel Lomotey as well as Majeed Ashimeru, prevented the defending champions from maintaining their unbeaten home record despite a consolation goal from Sadick Alhassan.
All Stars came into the game on the back of two successive draws while Wafa were without a win in their last 26 away games, stretching back to three seasons.
The Northern Blues had a slow start to the game and, the few time they came forward, Enos Adipah's charges lacked quality in the final third fluffing every opportunity that came their way.
Richard Danso looked poised, as he was playing his first game at the venue.
The 16-year-old put Wafa in front after 35 minutes after linking a cross and firing past the onrushing goalkeeper.
Six minutes later, Sadick Alhassan brought All Stars level with a simple finish from the spot, after Mathew Kelvin Andoh was brought down by Nuhu Musah.
While the first 45 minutes produced little entertainment aside the goals, it took just five minutes for the second half to spark into life when Daniel Lomotey's shot was blocked by All Stars' defenders following a quick counterattack.
Wafa finally restored their lead on 63rd minute through Lomotey before Danso made it 3-1, with his second of the day on 82nd minute.
Midfielder Majeed Ashimeru, who missed major part of last season through a knee injury, scored his second goal of the campaign to make the scoreline 4-1 with four minutes remaining on the clock.
All Stars recorded their first defeat at home in 20 league games and kept just one clean sheet in their last seven games.
Wafa have moved six places up to third position with 14 points, three points behind joint leaders Aduana Stars and Asante Kotoko while All Stars have moved a place down to sixth position with 12 points.
Wafa will travel to Bechem on April 2 to face Bechem United while All Stars face Aduana.
