This past week saw intense action in the AFC Cup with the Matchday Two producing some exciting matches in the West and ASEAN Zones.
Among all the stellar performances that we saw, we have picked out three standout performers for the fans to deliberate upon and decide whose contribution was the best of the lot.
Our first candidate is Marko Simic of Persija Jakarta. He was exceptional for the Indonesian side in their 4-1 win over Tampines Rovers, netting a hat-trick. He was named Goal's Asian Player of the Week.
Our second candidate is Shaher Al Shakir of Al Jaish. The goalkeeper pulled off more saves than any others this week, making seven in Al Jaish’s goalless draw with Al Zawraa.
Our final candidate for the honour is Hassan Chaito of Al Ahed. The midfielder won a tournament high 20 duels in Al Ahed's 1-0 win over Manama Club. He also completed a sensational 15 dribbles in the game.
