VIDEO: Bayer Leverkusen post highlight video to honour departing Chicharito

Mexico's all-time leading scorer is leaving Germany after two productive seasons, and the BayArena club wished him well as he made his way to London

Bayer Leverkusen have posted a highlight video in tribute to the departing Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez.

The Mexico international was confirmed to be on the move to West Ham on Thursday in a deal worth a reported £13 million.

Hernandez enjoyed a productive spell with the Bundesliga club, scoring 39 goals in 76 competitive games with Leverkusen.

The 29-year-old striker initially joined Leverkusen from Manchester United in August 2015, after a season on loan at Real Madrid.

Chicharito out to prove himself in the PL

Hernandez joins the Hammers with plenty to prove in the Premier League, having fallen out of favour toward the end of his spell at Old Trafford after posting double-digit goal totals in his first three Premier League campaigns.
