Ulinzi Stars striker vows to keep position at Harambee Stars

Ulinzi Stars striker Samuel Onyango is optimistic he will remain a regular with the national team.

The winger made his debut against Uganda Cranes on Thursday and also featured against DR Congo on Sunday. Onyango says he expects competition day in day out, but he will do his best to stay in coach Stanley Okumbi's plans.

"I am very grateful to the coach and his technical bench for giving me the opportunity to play for the national team. As a matter of fact, I have worked hard for this and I am really happy that it has finally come. I hope it will be on a regular basis but that determines with my hard work," Onyango told Goal.

"Definitely the competition will be tough and I have to continue giving my best in order to be considered."

The next assignment for Onyango will be on how he will help the soldiers perform better in the league.
