Traore brothers headline Burkina Faso squad for 2019 Afcon qualifiers against Botswana

Brothers Alain and Bertrand Traore headline the Burkina Faso squad for next month’s back-to-back 2019 Afcon qualifying matches against Botswana.

Alain has been in top form for Moroccan side RSB Berkane, while Bertrand has scored four goals in seven French League 1 games for Lyon.

Burkina Faso coach Paulo Duarte has also included in his 24-man squad, Paris FC striker Jonathan Pitroipa as they seek to rescue their campaign.

The Stallions will host the Zebras of Botswana on October 13, before meeting the same side in Francistown three days later.

Striker Aristide Bance is still out injured together with Préjuce Nakoulma.

Burkina Faso are placed second in Group I which is led by Mauritania who enjoy a 100 percent record so far.
