Our tipster is backing Mauricio Pochettino's men to pick up from where they left off before the World Cup break against Eddie Howe's Cherries

Tottenham Hotspur can claim their first home league victory of the season when they welcome AFC Bournemouth to Wembley on Saturday afternoon.

Mauricio Pochettino's team have been magnificent on their travels this season, having won each of the five fixtures that they have played away from home; Premier League results at Wembley, however, have been less impressive as Spurs have collected just two points from their opening three league matches at their temporary home.

The Londoners can be backed at just 4/21 (1.19) with SportPesa to enjoy a league win at Wembley for the first time, while the same firm go 25/4 (7.25) that Pochettino's team are forced to settle for a share of the spoils - as they have in their last two top tier matches at home.

AFC Bournemouth have struggled to make much of an impact so far this season; indeed, Eddie Howe's team have won just once in the Premier League - at home against Brighton and Hove Albion - while the Cherries have scored just one goal in three league games away from the Vitality Stadium.

As such, it is little surprise that Bournemouth can be backed at a chunky 12/1 (13.0) with SportPesa to claim their first away win of the season at Wembley against a Spurs side that has been in fantastic form in front of goal.

Tottenham have scored no fewer than 10 goals in their last three matches and Pochettino's team can be backed at just 2/9 (1.22) to score more than two goals again here, while the irrepressible Harry Kane, who has scored nine goals in his last five games for club and country, can be backed at 31/20 (2.55) to find the net first in a sixth successive fixture.

Bournemouth will hope that Jermain Defoe returns to haunt his former employers and the 35-year-old, who still harbours hopes of being a part of Gareth Southgate's England squad for next summer's World Cup in Russia, is priced up at 16/5 (4.20) with SportPesa to score against Spurs.

The odds compilers offer 20/21 (1.95) that there are goals at both ends of the pitch, while SportPesa's 5/13 (1.38) price for at least three goals to be scored may well prove popular, for it would have paid dividends in each of Spurs' last three matches in all competitions.

Better value, however, could lie in backing Spurs to maintain their fine form by enjoying a comfortable win against a Cherries side that has looked out-of-sorts so far this season; SportPesa offer 7/5 (2.40) that Pochettino's team win by at least three clear goals and that price could provide punters with a path to profit ahead of Saturday's showdown at Wembley.
