This is how much KPL MVP took home

Newly crowned Kenyan Premier League Most Valuable Player, Michael Madoya pocketed a cool Sh1.7 million in the KPL Awards held on Friday evening in Nairobi.

Little known Madoyo scooped four awards in the annual Gala after landing a majority of votes from all the 18-KPL coaches and captains in four categories.

Madoya went home with the Midfielder of the year, New Player of the year, Fairplay player of the year before crowning the night with the coveted MVP trophy.

For MVP, the Zoo Kericho midfielder was awarded one million, Sh300,000 for Midfielder of the year, Sh200,000 for New player of the year and Fairplay player of the year respectively; bringing to sum total of Sh1.7 million the reward after the completion of the 2017 KPL season.

Other big winners of the night were KPL Golden Boot winner, Masoud Juma of Kariobangi Sharks who walked home with Sh500,000, Nzoai Sugar midfielder, Lawrence Juma who finished runners-up in the Midfielder of the year and Fair Play player of the month.

Gor Mahi's Meddie Kagere who twice finished second runners-up in the Golden Boot and Fairplay Player of the year categories also walked home with a handsome reward.
