Squads & Team News

Kaitano Tembo

Kaitano Tembo will be keen to mastermind a victory over the Brazilians which would see his side keep up with the pacesetters in the race for this season's PSL title.

Matsatsantsa will be without three key players in Thabo Mnyamane, Bradley Grobler and Dean Furman, who are all out nursing long-term injuries.

James Keene and Evans Rusike, who have scored seven league goals between them this season, will look to inspire Matsatsantsa to their maiden league win over Sundowns since 2013.

Meanwhile, Sundowns currently boast the longest unbeaten in the PSL this season having extended their undefeated run to 23 games when they drew 0-0 with Orlando Pirates at home in their previous league game.

The Brazilians are coming off a morale-boosting 2-0 win over Equatorial Guinea's Leones Vegetarianos FC away in a 2018 Caf Champions League preliminary round match in midweek.

They find themselves placed fifth on the PSL standings having collected 18 points from 10 games. The defending champions are three points behind third-placed Celtic.

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane, July 2018

Pitso Mosimane knows that his side needs to secure a victory in the Tshwane Derby in order to cut the lead at the top of the league standings.

Sibusiso Vilakazi is set to miss the eagerly-anticipated match due to a long-term injury, while Anthony Laffor has been out nursing an injury.

Mosimane will look to Jeremy Brockie, who is slowly regaining his scoring form and the New Zealand hitman will look to haunt his former side.
