South African midfielder May Mahlangu unveiled by Ludogorets Razgrad

South Africa midfielder May Mahlangu has officially been unveiled by Bulgarian outfit Ludogorets Razgrad.

The Secunda-born player was handed the No.11 jersey at the club which has dominanted the Bulgarian professional league over the years.

He has also been registered for this season's Uefa Europa League which gets underway next week.

Mahlangu, who signed a three-year deal with Ludogorets from Dinamo Bucharest, has been playing abroad all his life as a professional footballer.

While there was talk of a possible move to Kaizer Chiefs a few years, Mahlangu maintained that he still had unfinished business abroad.

He is one of the few players to stay in Europe for years, and he will hope to continue his impressive form which saw Ludogorets make an offer for him a few weeks ago.

The 29-year-old is expected to make his debut when Ludogorets face Vereya in a league encounter on Friday.

He could also make his return to continental football when Ludogorets lock horns with Leverkusen in the Uefa Europa League next Thursday.

Mahlangu took part in the competition with Dinamo Bucharest last season.

While Mahlangu continues to make waves abroad, he still cannot represent Bafana Bafana after he was banned by the South African Football Association (Safa) in 2014.
